How to Set Up a Contact Sync in Twilanswer

Contact sync (beta) imports contacts from Front into Twilanswer. Authorize Front, then use Sync now or check when the last sync ran.

Contact sync imports contacts from another tool so you do not have to re-enter them in Twilanswer. Twilanswer currently supports Front.

Steps to Set Up a Contact Sync

  1. Open the Contacts page

    • Log in to Twilanswer.
    • Select Contacts from the sidebar.

  2. Start a contact sync

    • Click Contact sync in the top-right corner.
    • Under Setup a contact sync, select Front to import contacts from your Front workspace.

  3. Authorize the connection in Front

    • You will be redirected to Front.
    • Review the access Twilanswer is requesting, choose the Front workspaces to grant (for example All Workspaces), and click Authorize.
    • After you approve access, you are returned to Twilanswer and the sync is connected.

Contacts from Front will appear in your contacts list. Their Source badge shows Front.

Manage a connected sync

Once Front is connected, open Contact sync again to see status and actions:

  • A Connected badge and the last synced time
  • Sync now — Run a sync immediately instead of waiting for the next automatic update
  • Remove Front sync — Disconnect Front so contacts are no longer imported from that workspace

Synced contacts

Synced contacts show the provider as their Source (for example Front).

  • You cannot edit or delete synced contacts in Twilanswer. Make changes in Front instead.
  • Edits in Front sync to Twilanswer within 24 hours, or sooner if you use Sync now.
