How to Delete Your Twilanswer Account

Request deletion of your Twilanswer account by emailing hello@twilanswer.com. We delete the account and associated data within 30 days.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Twilanswer account (the Twilanswer app and service operated by Clueless Labs LLC). Deletion removes the account from our records along with associated personal data we are not legally required to keep. It is not a temporary deactivation or freeze.

You do not need to be logged in or have the Twilanswer app installed to make this request.

Steps to request that your Twilanswer account is deleted

  1. Send an email to hello@twilanswer.com from the email address on your Twilanswer account.
  2. Use a clear subject line, for example: Twilanswer account deletion request.
  3. Include all of the following in the message:
    • The email address on the Twilanswer account
    • Your name
    • Your organization or company name, if you have one
    • A statement that you want your Twilanswer account and associated data deleted
  4. We will reply to confirm we received the request. We may ask you to verify that you control the account (for example, by responding from the account email).
  5. After the request is verified, we will delete the account and associated data within 30 days, then email you when deletion is complete.

That is the full request process. Email is how you request account deletion for Twilanswer.

Before you request deletion

Complete these steps if they apply to you. You can still send the deletion email if you cannot access the app.

Cancel your Twilanswer subscription

Twilanswer bills subscriptions directly (through Stripe). There is no separate Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Cancel an active subscription before you request deletion when you can:

  1. In the app, go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Open Manage Billing and cancel the subscription.

See How to Manage Your Billing in Twilanswer. If you cannot access billing, say so in your email to hello@twilanswer.com. We will cancel the Twilanswer subscription as part of the deletion request.

Twilio and other connected services

Twilanswer connects to your Twilio account. Deleting Twilanswer does not delete your Twilio account, Twilio phone numbers, or Twilio billing. Those stay with Twilio.

Data already copied into tools you connected (for example Front, Slack, or ElevenLabs) stays in those products under their policies. We delete the copies and connection details we store in Twilanswer.

What data is deleted

When we complete a verified Twilanswer account deletion request, we delete the account and the associated user data we hold, including:

  • Account registration details (name, email address, phone number, company information)
  • Login credentials and authentication information
  • Organization settings, users, roles, and invites
  • Call routes, forwarding numbers, call menus, and related configuration
  • Contacts stored in Twilanswer
  • Call history, voicemails, call recordings, transcripts, and uploaded or live recordings
  • Notification channels and integration connections (email, SMS, Slack, Front, ElevenLabs, and similar)
  • API keys

This covers the personal and call-related data associated with the Twilanswer account in our product systems. Temporary deactivation is not what we do in response to this request. Cloud logs and analytics data are not fully removed; see below.

What data is kept, and for how long

We complete deletion of the account and the product data listed above within 30 days of a verified request.

We also keep some information after that:

  • Cloud logs (for example application, access, and error logs in our hosting and operations systems) may still contain information about the account, such as identifiers, email addresses, IP addresses, or request details. We do not purge those historical logs as part of account deletion. They remain until they expire under our log retention settings.
  • Analytics data associated with the account can reasonably identify you. We keep that analytics data; we do not treat it as anonymous or as something that cannot identify you.

We may also retain limited information for tax, accounting, security, fraud prevention, or other legal/regulatory requirements. In those cases we keep only what is necessary, and only for as long as the obligation requires:

Organization accounts

Twilanswer accounts belong to an organization:

  • If you are the owner (or the only user), deleting the account deletes the organization and the associated Twilanswer data listed above for that organization.
  • If you are a member, we delete your user account. Organization data remains unless an owner also requests that the organization be deleted.

If you are unsure which applies, include that in your email and we will confirm before we proceed.

After we receive your request

  1. We verify the request (usually by emailing the address on the account).
  2. We delete the Twilanswer account and associated data described above, or tell you if we must keep a limited record and why.
  3. We finish within 30 days of verification.
  4. We send a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

To ask a question about this process, or about data we retain, email hello@twilanswer.com or see our Privacy Policy.
